STMicroelectronics Honored by CDP

Recognized for climate change and water security leadership by CDP.

STMicroelectronics has been recognized for leadership in corporate transparency and performance on Climate and Water Security by global environmental non-profit CDP, securing a place on its ‘A List’ for tackling climate change and a rating of ‘A-’ for water security.

“Inclusion in the CDP’s A List for Climate is an important recognition of progress on our carbon neutrality commitment for 2027, our efforts on climate change mitigation in our operations and engagement with our partners to decarbonize our supply chain,” said Rajita D’Souza, president, human resources and corporate social responsibility, STMicroelectronics. “Recognition on the ‘A-’ list for Water shows that we are making progress in our efforts to reduce our water footprint in our operations and sites and to further develop our positive impact and support for communities.”

Based on data reported through CDP’s 2024 Climate questionnaire, ST is one of a small number of companies that achieved an ‘A’, out of nearly 22,400 companies scored for climate.

The grade ‘A’ is awarded to companies that provide detailed and transparent reporting on their activities in climate protection and demonstrate significant progress in reducing their carbon footprint. ST has been disclosing climate protection-related data to CDP since 2004.

STMicroelectronics has recently set new commitments and goals to drive the company’s sustainability priorities until 2030 and 2035. ST has also set new goals for energy savings, water recycling and Alliance for Water Stewardship certification.
